DUTIES:
The candidate is expected to:
• Direct the ACT Institute. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a community based and mobile team intervention designed for people with complex primary and behavioral health conditions. The Director overseas all training activities (face-to-face, webinar, on-line modules), consultations and technical assistance conducted by the ACT Institute for 108 ACT teams state-wide.
• Interface with OMH Central Office staff to help shape OMH’s vision for ACT and to identify new and ongoing focus areas for ACT Institute that reflect Central Office priorities.
• Supervise ACT Training Director, Coordinator of Best Practices and Fidelity Coordinator, ACT/FIT Implementation Specialist, ACT program administrator.
• Supervise graduate students and oversee internship program.
• Oversee all curriculum and develop, design, and deliver trainings for ACT.
• Develop and participate in research related to the ACT and prepare manuscripts and reports for publication for the professional community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate and seven years of professional research experience in the appropriate field; or a master’s degree and eight years of such experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Ph.D. in Social Work or related field
PREFERRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with ACT model; supervisory experience; previous responsibility for program budget; familiarity with NYS OMH personnel and programs
